The Mid Nordic Film Commission was established in June 2008 by the counties of North Trøndelag and South Trøndelag in Norway together with counties of Jämtland and Härjedalen in Sweden.

The Mid Nordic Film Commission has two offices, one in Trondheim, Norway and one in Østersund, Sweden.

The region is one of the richest regions in Europe when it comes to locations, highly skilled crews and regional financing.
